Kartell Masters Chair

The Kartell Masters Chair is a cleverly designed homage to three design icons interpreted by Philippe Stark and Eugeni Quitllet.  The Masters chair pays it’s respects to the Eames’ Eiffel Chair, Arne Jacobson’s Series 7, and Eero Saarinen’s Tulip Armchair; all three layered to create a unique fluid form, the lines playfully bending and weaving around each other.

While the Masters Chair has been out since 2010 it has been re-imagined by Kartell, along with several other Kartell best sellers, in shimmering metal finishes of silver, gun metal, copper, bronze and gold.

From Kartell:

“A major theme this year is “Precious Kartell”.  The aim is to focus more than ever before on the quality, value, glamour and “”luxury”” of Kartell plastic.  The metallization process used by Kartell is a cutting-edge and high-quality process, the result of major research and investments to obtain an impeccable result in terms of appearance, touch, resistance and strength of the varnishes used.”

I think the Masters chair is truly done justice in these brilliant new finishes.  Available at licensed Kartell dealers.
